Chicken sandwich vs burger doesn't concern me as much as taste considerations do. If, as some argue, it is ground meat vs unground that makes the difference; the Chick-fil-a offering qualifies as a sandwich. But its unique mixture of dry and bland chicken (which ideally would be juicy and savory) and soggy breading (which ideally would be dry enough to be crispy, providing a satisfying crunch) makes me barely even classify it as food. I do not understand its popularity. Hate or love it for political reasons or whatever, but just admit it is the worst fast food chicken sandwi... Nope, wait Slim Chickens. Ok the SECOND worst fast food chicken sandwich on the market.
Today I was thinking that the Xtra Long Chicken Sandwich from Burger King would then be a burger by the definition of the guy who was banned. I then thought, wow I really have nothing to do lately.
Yeah, that's probably best described as a burger. But they recently added a chicken sandwich to the menu to compete in the chicken sandwich wars... and even Burger King makes a sandwich in every way superior to Chick-fil-a. The drive thru lines I see every day there just baffle me. Do people hate LGBTQ folks so much they flock to an inferior product out of spite, or does the hatred somehow change how it actually tastes to them? I was avoiding Chick-fil-a for their inferior product long before politics made it "cool."
I don't understand why people would eat tacos. It's just so difficult! If you overfill, it falls out one end or the other, and if you don't then the first few bites are just stale doritos. And the moment you bite into any part of it the entire bastard thing falls apart.
Not a difficult answer. Savory, fresh, satisfying crunch... add a little sweet and spicy with a sauce and you have a lot of the "tasty" boxes checked. Messy and inconvenient, a little. But easily compensated for and not much of a dealbreaker.
