Project Veritas are not journalists.

"Project Veritas is an American far-right[16] activist group founded by James O'Keefe in 2010.[20] The group produces deceptively edited videos[15] of its undercover operations,[7] which use secret recordings[7] in an effort to discredit mainstream media organizations and progressive groups.[21][22] Project Veritas also uses entrapment[14] to generate bad publicity for its targets,[4] and has propagated disinformation[3] and conspiracy theories[30] in its videos and operations.

Targets of Project Veritas include Planned Parenthood, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), NPR, CNN, and The Washington Post. In 2009, Project Veritas associates published misleading[4] videos that depicted ACORN employees providing advice on concealing illegal activity, causing ACORN to shut down after losing funding;[5] ACORN was cleared of wrongdoing by the Attorney General of California in 2010,[4] and the associates paid a total of $150,000 in settlements to an ACORN employee who sued for defamation.[4] NPR CEO Vivian Schiller resigned in 2013 after Project Veritas released a deceptively[4][5] edited video portraying another NPR executive making controversial comments about the Tea Party movement and NPR's federal funding.[31] Project Veritas unsuccessfully attempted to mislead The Washington Post into publishing false information about the Roy Moore sexual misconduct allegations in 2017;[32][21] the Post won a Pulitzer Prize after uncovering the operation.[9][33]"

(Neither is Tim, who made that video)

You beat me to the punch!

I'll also add on though that convicted criminal James O'Keefe isn't beyond breaking the law to generate one of his "stories."

O'Keefe and colleagues were arrested in the Hale Boggs Federal Complex in New Orleans in January 2010 and charged with entering federal property under false pretenses with the intent of committing a felony, at the office of United States Senator Mary Landrieu, a Democrat. His three fellow activists, who were dressed as telephone repairmen when apprehended, included Robert Flanagan, the son of William Flanagan, acting U.S. Attorney of the Eastern District of Louisiana.[81][82] The four men were charged with malicious intent to damage the phone system.[83] O'Keefe stated that he had entered Landrieu's office to investigate complaints that she was ignoring phone calls from constituents during the debate over President Barack Obama's health care bill.[84]

The charges in the case were reduced from a felony to a single misdemeanor count of entering a federal building under false pretenses.[85][86] O'Keefe and the others pleaded guilty on May 26. O'Keefe was sentenced to three years' probation, 100 hours of community service and a $1,500 fine. The three other men received lesser sentences.[87] Another consequence is that O'Keefe is barred from soliciting donations from Florida residents, because of state law applicable to people found guilty of fraud.[88]

And to entirely put this matter to rest as literally nothing more than the FBI doing their congressionally-mandated law enforcement jobs:

The Trump administration’s Justice Department, then led by Attorney General William P. Barr, opened an investigation into the matter shortly after a representative of the Biden family reported to federal authorities in October 2020 that several of Ms. Biden’s personal items had been stolen in a burglary, according to two people briefed on the matter.
The investigation was actually started under the Trump admin and simply continued under the Biden admin.

I think it's a great idea, that doesn't go far enough.

Wh not disband CIA?
The FBI can be replaced by local law enforcement and cooperation between jurisdictions which already exist. What would replace the CIA for international intelligence concerns?
Project Veritas are not journalists.
Given the misinformation we've been force fed by the legacy media, these days, is anyone?
Don't recall who said it but, if you don't listen to the news, your uninformed. If you do listen to them, you are misinformed.

Who oversees the cooperation between jurisdictions? How much more redundancy needs to be built into every single local law enforcement organization (manpower, equipment, training, etc) to ensure that they can, at all times, have enough resources to handle the many inter-jurisdiction cases? How do we ensure that information isn't lost or corrupted transitioning between jurisdictions? There's plenty wrong with the current FBI, but believing that simply disbanding them and throwing all of their responsibilities on current local law enforcement would work is nothing more than child-like naivety.

Given the misinformation we've been force fed by the legacy media, these days, is anyone?

And yet people who watch the "legacy media" are still less misinformed than those who get their news from sources like OANN, Newsmax, Project Veritas, Facebook, Youtube, etc. It's almost like every source not being 100% truthful doesn't mean all sources are equivalently truthful...

I think it is time to disband the FBI. We have local law enforcement for domestic issues, the CIA for international issues.

The FBI has basically become the establishments KGB.

Your thoughts?
I think we should disband the police, CIA and the military, as well as the Border patrol and use the savings for buiding a better educational. health care system and upgrading the power grid to be less carbon impactful. I'd also like a pony, because.

Can't wait for the right to find out about all of the genuinely illegal stuff the FBI's done.
Yeah but it doesn't count as illegal if its against blacks, Muslims, women or gays. Its only illegal if its against far-right wing fake journalists purposefully putting out doctored and faked evidence to push donations to right-wing candidates in an attempt to overturn a democracy.
Then conservatives don't like it.

Nothing would probably be fine.
Pretty much every largescale CIA operation that has ever happened has come back to bite the US in the ass and made things worse for both the US and the world at large.

Let's just give all these weapons to the mujahedeen to fight the soviets. I'm sure that won't bite us in the ass in 20 years or so.

A BLM activist shoots you and then runs off to California, which tells your home state "fuck off, Whitey". Isn't this a Republican apocalypse scenario?
Is that what happened before the FBI was founded in 1908?

Maybe that makes them more dangerous so that when they push the big material lies (we need to war in Vietnam! Iraq! Syria! Donald Trump colludes with Russians and pees on whores!) you think them credible news sources, turn your brain off and believe them.

So the big problem with mainstream media is... they don't lie enough? You wil truly tie yourself in knots to never hold anyone on the right accountable won't you?

They tell the truth about traffic. Weather. Sports scores. Their big pictures on war, politics, economics? Wrong, outright lies, or a failure to report the truth. And that can be as damaging as anything.

Example: Joe Biden is a despicable, unaccomplished political whore. Never mind the collusion to block the laptop story. How about reminders of Joe telling us he tries to politically prostitute himself? The plagiarism? Lying about how his own wife died while defaming an innocent man? His 3 undergrad degrees that he doesn't have and more and more. Had they done their job, I don't think he would have been nominated. But there he is. Because they didn't do their job. Lot more material than anything Tim Pool has ever done.

Basically, yeah. What with all the Sanctuary City stuff and Montana's "Sanctuary City, but for guns" bullshit, you kinda need a federal police force to enforce federal laws.

The FBI being bullshit doesn't mean that we should just go with local cops, who are often much more bullshit. The FBI might've targeted Fred Hampton, but it was the Chicago PD that did the assassination.
