A Deflect not actually addressing or trying to justify the ever shifting positions such that previously it was contemptible to suggest Jewish people are just the same as other white people but now it's contemptible to suggest there is or should be see as being a difference.

Whoopi wasn't criticized/suspended for saying that Jewish people are the same as white people. What she was criticized for was saying that race had absolutely nothing to do with the Holocaust. Even though the entire concept of the Holocaust was to promote the Aryan race. Also, there is a difference between ethnicity and race. There's basically no difference appearance-wise between Irishmen and Americans, but that didn't stop "Irish Need Not Apply" in the early 20th century.

No I think her statement was unfortunately phrased but was very in line with woke dogma until woke dogma decided it wasn't for some reason and now woke dogma has moved back again so it once again is. It's a weird position because well Jewish heritage is a culture really and it comes down to what people see race as. In short I disagree with her statement on the premise level of equating all white people as being the same which is somewhat inline with the woke dogma of "White people have no culture" that was passed round many years back in some circles

Here's what I'll say about Whoopi. I understand that she didn't mean what she said. I think that she got confused in her statement. What she was saying wasn't mutually exclusive. But she did need to answer questions. Because her statement goes against everything we have been taught about WW2. And strays far to close to conspiracy theory. It's like when Peterson came out with his 'Forced Monogamy' concept. He needed to answer questions about what that means. At least Whoopi isnt a troll trying to score pollical points like JP is
