Not for nothing bro but i personally don't like watching videos like this before I get my hands on the game because I like my experiences and opinions with character to come from organically playing the game. I'll watch them after launch if I remember though.

It sure looks like a Bayonetta game.. which is good.
What I like: the demon stuff, turning into a big freaking lizard or which lady and stomping on mo-fos. That seems the obvious place to develop both lore and mechanics so I'm not gonna complain they're doing the logical thing here.
What I'm a bit skeptical on: a whole new playable character? I kind of like playing games where I'm one person so I dunno. But if it's a way to change things up in a game in a better way than the B.S. insta-death platform puzzles of the original, then that's cool.

Like... I'm for sure buying and playing this game, and probably even at full price because I got a long trip in December and a Switch lite.

This is nothing new for Platinum. They done character switching before. See Transformers Devastation. If you played Metal Gear Rising, then Viola will almost fit like a glove. She plays very similar to Raiden.

The only Metal Gear game I played was a bit of 5 and I didn't care for it. Never got into that series which is why I like that KC and Marty are doing the whole series now. But yeah I'm not like worried worred about Viola or anything, at best it's just a way to break up monotony.

So I watched SkillUp's review this morning and it's positive, mostly just confirming that it's... you know, more Bayonetta. Yay. I like his description about how using the slave demon thing felt optional, to suit various player's tastes. I know my taste is just do whatever it takes to kill baddies so I'm sure I'll like trying a couple ways to get past fights.

Dude, I am getting this game, then I got to worry about God of War: Ragnarok, Evil West, and Gungrave GORE. All three are coming out in November. Then Callisto Protocol comes out December 2nd. That one I might ask my brother to get me for Christmas. I know I'm not going to have time to get Evil West. So that one's going to have to put on the back burner unfortunately.

The original VA for Bayo has gone public on why she's not voicing the 3rd game.

Ooof, just 4000$ for the entire game, and they originally offered less? It's not clear who the "they" she's referring to is, Nintendo or Platinum, and I don't know what a fair market rate for a leading role like that would be, but 4K seems insultingly low.

And the replacement is Jennifer Hale? Come off it, no way they paid her less (and why would she put up with less)

I feel like there is more to the story. Or she is just mad that they replaced her outright.

Which is weird because for all my video game playing experience. I couldnt name you one character Hale has played off the top of my head. Im sure she is in a lot of shit but she must be so generic that i cannot pick her out of a crowd the same way i can for Laura Bailey, nolan North, Steve Blum, and any number of other actors.

Jennifer Hale is pretty easy to pick out if you know what to listen for. She tends to do a lot of confident authoritative women roles, often military: Femshep, Bastila, Silver Sable, Samus, Spartan Sarah Palmer.

I highly doubt it. I don't know everything about Hellena Taylor, but from what I've heard, she's usually easy to work with. Someone at Nintendo or Platinum is fucking her over.
