Biden administration waives 26 federal laws to allow border wall construction
The Department of Homeland Security announced that the Biden administration leveraged sweeping executive power to waive 26 federal laws in South Texas

So pretty much the usual clickbait and shit-stirring.“I’ll answer one question on the border wall: The border wall – the money was appropriated for the border wall. I tried to get them to reappropriate it, to redirect that money. They didn’t, they wouldn’t. And in the meantime, there’s nothing under the law other than they have to use the money for what it was appropriated. I can’t stop that,” Biden told reporters in the Oval Office.
Asked whether he believes the border wall works, Biden answered, “No.”
Yes and no. I dare say, if Biden really wanted, he could find all sorts of creative ways to stall. So pretty much the usual clickbait and shit-stirring.
If they can't reappropriate the funding, they should build the wall 50 bricks deep and 3 bricks high, as a joke.Right.

Or serve as the best road in TexasIf they can't reappropriate the funding, they should build the wall 50 bricks deep and 3 bricks high, as a joke.
All joking aside though, you could use that as a little platform to put on dance shows and things.
Under U.S. law, the president has almost no power to move money around. All appropriations have to come out of congress (specifically the House of Representatives) and once congress decides where the money has to be spent, the executive is basically under orders and can't do anything about it.So hang on, he's obligated to spend this money for the purpose it was originally allocated and - according to the headline - has leveraged significant power from his office to move it along but he cannot exert that same power to say "This is fucking stupid and we're not doing it, the money is being redirected to the Department of Health".
How the fuck is that logical?
I'm pretty sure they had 26 ready-made reasons they could have picked from.Yes and no. I dare say, if Biden really wanted, he could find all sorts of creative ways to stall.
Of course, I wonder whether (given the timing) Biden agreed to get it started as part of the deal to pass the budget ceiling bill past the House.I'm pretty sure they had 26 ready-made reasons they could have picked from.
I am very suprised that Biden hasn't brought back the Obama policy of paying the Mexican army to stop border crossing at the Southern Mexican border.I don't think they think walls work now, but he sees his polls and recently he had some losing to trump numbers come out, and this is him grasping at straws by throwing the illegal crossers under the bus. Which ironically would be more effective than a wall, if he just had a bus going around picking people up and returning em to mexico or venesuela or wherever that'd prolly be more effective. Maybe they shoulda negotiated with the autoworkers for this, having them build a super vehicle that is equiped to navigate the border terrain and suction any migrant as it goes and then segment off to deliver them to their place of belonging. I'm picturing it like a giant steel caterpillar. They could even call it the Bidenpillar and campaign with it.
Here's the thing: opposing the wall consistently is definitely the correct move politically, as you identify, which is why they've done that for the last few years and are pretending to still do so even while building more.![]()

Also, each time the center-right has tried to score points by licking the ass of the extreme-right, it lost the votes of the moderates and gained nothing in return (the extreme-right still prefers to vote for the original). Just saying.
