It will happen eventually. Gotta let the dust settle first. Not even a release date for PC yet, it seems.
I feel like open world games are what they are. Ghosts is not a bad open world game as far as those game go, but every open world game is limited by whatever core gameplay they establish within it. Meaning that puzzles have to function around the limitations of movement and combat, as well as any other activity. Unless you throw 6000 mini games into the world like FF7 did which isn't a great idea because it ruins the flow and pulls you out of the experience.Another Steam seasonal sale and again I look at Ghost of Tsushima's 40 dollar price and think it's too much for generic hand-holding open world slop. I wanna play it, but I'm so sure I'll get bored.
Lol, what is this shit? A demon yell? I thought the games were somewhat grounded.
The developers pretty much admitted they weren't going to do that. They added some more content and streamlined, a few things, but the content's almost the same size. Just slightly bigger than the first gamefeel like Yotei is going to suffer from "Well it's a sequel so we need to make it bigger/better/bloated and give her super powers because realism is boring." Aka the Saint's Row 4 approach.
well I mean she has super powers shown off right in the video which is at least one of the things I said. The developers pretty much admitted they weren't going to do that. So did Jin. Though similar to him, it's mostly adrenaline, slight of hand, and the opponents either getting scared, cowardly, or superstitious. The same tactics Batman uses.well I mean she has super powers shown off right in the video which is at least one of the things I said.
What superpower did Jin have? It's been years since i've touched Ghosts but I can't recall a blatant superpower he had, versus Izo (or whatever her name is) being able to terrify with a shout that conjures wind. Jin terrified from his skills not from powers that I can recall, he definitely WAS more of a Batman like you say.So did Jin. Exactly everything like i've meant beforehand. The power of theatrics. Atsu is more than likely no different other than maybe a few exceptions. I really don't care, and i'm here to have a fun time. I have not started the game yet, but it is fully installed. What superpower did Jin have? I've only played the first mission intro thing. Basically the first combat tutorial, I really like that you can grab fallen enemy weapons and throw them. That's cool as shit and makes sense.Exactly everything like i've meant beforehand. The power of theatrics. Atsu is more than likely no different other than maybe a few exceptions. Exactly. The developers made this clear too. She is basically Lady Snow Blood.really interested in seeing how they made Atsu (thanks for the name) different from Jin, because I don't think the she is going to suffer from the same dilema of trying to be honorable and even in the tutorial it's clear she's just out to murder the people who killed her family and she'll do whatever to get it done.
There is no dilemma, you just play honorable unless you're in the story missions that force you not to and make up the tactical disadvantage through godlike moves!I've only played the first mission intro thing. It's all mystical godlike skill. He's just a sword saint. So good with the sword that he "seems" to be employing some sort of magic but no he's just really graceful fast and precise. What superpower did Jin have? gameplay wise sure. but storywise it is meant to pull on Jin's ethics even if the player doesn't feel the same way. There is no dilemma, you just play honorable unless you're in the story missions that force you not to and make up the tactical disadvantage through godlike moves!
Oh I totally cared about his honor. I guess it depends on how much samurai stuff you've consumed but I was fully in character the entire way through the storytelling in the game. I was fully in character. No sneak attacks, wait for the enemy to complete their transformation or pose before hitting em.gameplay wise sure. but storywise it is meant to pull on Jin's ethics even if the player doesn't feel the same way.
In fact I think that divisive theme Jin feels throughout the story is sort of fails in essence because the player has no such qualms and we dont care about his honor. It might have been interesting for there to be a Infamous-like system of being honorable and dueling everyone openly or sneaking like ghost and affect the players choice about the gameplay in that way. However that would be far more work storyline wise. Or just have missions where you MUST sneak and be dishonorable because of story reasons so that no matter what the player chooses in the moment to moment open world encounters, the player will have been forced to kill from the shadows sometimes. I know the tutorial mission forces this, but it could be more broad for later missions.
Doesn't really matter, the game was overall fine in the end and this new one doesn't deal with that conflict so who cares?
She just screams to intimidate her opponents and it being an old-timey superstitious time, they get scared.Lol, what is this shit? A demon yell? I thought the games were somewhat grounded.
A 9 minute Dunkey video? Time for some fun.
Well then, that's just hilariously stupid. She just screams to intimidate her opponents and it being an old-timey superstitious time, they get scared.
