So this is the third time US spies have tried to get the media to say some enemy of the US is paying for American heads in Afghanistan, using it as a pretext to keep the forever war going and it's the third time the media has fallen for it. So far there has been 0 pieces of demonstrable evidence that any foreign nation is pulling such a stunt and if they are, 2020 was the nadir of US troop deaths in Afghanistan so they're doing a shit job.

You know what would stop American Soldiers from being targeted? If we stopped going into countries, bombing the fuck out of them, and then being Shocked Pikachu Face when for some reason, nobody likes us.

There! Bounty Program or no Bounty Program, we no longer need to worry about our soldiers being targeted.

Ah, but nobody would pay to kill soldiers (or marines), they'd go after politicians or CEOs or the space lizards or whoever.

Oh, right, I can see why this is an unpopular move.
