Hollywood doesn't think like normal people. For reasons we can only begin to guess at, both Orci's and Kurtzman's shocking excuses for scripts print money. As far as Hollywood is concerned, that makes them the top men for the job.

And were US copyright law the same now as it was when he was first created, he should have entered the public domain 19 years ago, assuming DC renewed it for a second 28 year term. Wonderful thing, copyright law isn't it?
I used to have a lot of respect for Cliffy B back when he first left Epic. Over time that respect has waned, and now he has finally proven that he's nothing but a fuck-nugget.
I keep telling myself that these new films can't possibly be worse than the prequels, but the more I hear about them the less I'm convinced that will be true.
