    Hey, I'll get straight to it. Perhaps 10+ years ago I remember playing a point-click adventure, but it may have been a Select From Options type instead, and there was an alternate version where you had to type the commands, perhaps a hardcore mode. It definitely reminds me of the original...

    If I recall, this definitely sounds like Quake. After a brief google search, Xero was the final boss in Quake 3 Arena.
