I don't deny the importance of researching space. I don't deny the importance of researching anything. But science is something that has to be done rationally, and this argument is mostly based on emotion. Of course space is important, but why the hell send humans there? We know what's on Mars...

Speck Mountain.
They are a band that make gorgeous soul/space rock-ish music. It's hard to label, but it is incredibly beautiful and ridiculously relaxing.

Grim Fandango's Soundtrack needs to be mentioned too. It's the only game soundtrack I have in full on my iPod. It consists mostly of tiny snippets of bigband and bossa nova, but is it ever great.
