Maybe because it's made by Sony Pictures who people wants to just die already with all the bullshit they been doing for the past years, case in point Amazing Spider-Man, Pixel(or any Adam Sandler movie) and Barbie with Amy Schumer.
Maybe that's the reason why I'm indifferent to the current DCEU movies, it makes me depressed and if watch a movie I want to escape from the real world for just a few hours because real life is shitty as it is and movie tickets are fucking expensive. Also if want to feel depressed, I will not...
Although some speculate that they may try this bullshit again in the future with a different company with a different name like they have done before. But then again, their level of immaturity and awfulness is like a DNA to them so its easy for us go spot them if they ever decided to come back.

But I thought according to Hollywood Accounting, you need to make more than your budget for a movie to be considered to be successful?

Really? I thought no matter how god awful this movie will be, at least the first week the theaters will be full to the brim with people (who waited literally decades) if not more so than the Avengers to see it. So that's really surprising for me.
