    Shooters! I Need Shooters!

Try RAGE. It got a bad rap when it came out because it was pumped up to be revolutionary, and wasn't. Instead, it's just a pretty damn good shooter. Graphically, it holds up really well. There's a decent variety of enemies that are all very diverse in behaviour, there are a lot of guns, all of...

Steam Forces Humble Bundle to go Back to Giving Out Steam Keys

Fine, fine, the insults were uncalled for. But I want to clarify that you are god-damned frustrating, because you're not actually arguing with me, you're not attempting to prove me wrong or providing any counterpoints, you just keep saying that same thing over and over again, and I keep telling...

Steam Forces Humble Bundle to go Back to Giving Out Steam Keys

At least one person has come close to identifying the problem. Yes, they could just not do it. And may choose not to. And then there will be fewer humble bundles offering fewer games from a smaller selection of participating publishers and developers. "Omg" indeed.

Steam Forces Humble Bundle to go Back to Giving Out Steam Keys

You could always gift games you didn't want with OAuth, you just click the little gift box icon next to "redeem on steam" and punch in the recipient's e-mail. Well, of course. Publicity is the main reason for anyone to do it. The problem is that the publicity is no good if you never sell a...

Steam Forces Humble Bundle to go Back to Giving Out Steam Keys

I think if you don't see the problem (from the publisher/developer's perspective) with allowing people to mass purchase and re-sell your games at tiny prices, you're being deliberately dense. The same applies to the assertion that there is "no good reason to bundle a game if you're trying to...

Steam Forces Humble Bundle to go Back to Giving Out Steam Keys

The problem with it is that developers might become more reticent about donating their games to Humble Bundle. There've been a few articles written about the fates of developers who donated their games to other bundle sites (like indie gala) - most of them about how their games rarely sold on...

2014 Steam Winter Sale casualty report

It's a great game and definitely worth the price it's at now, but it really depends on how long it'll be 'til you replace your computer. If you won't be replacing it 'til summer or beyond, it's probably best to wait, since everything under the sun goes on sale during the steam summer sale.

The Binding of Isaac Rebirth - Your unlucky runs

My mistake, I scanned the original post instead of reading it properly and thought we were talking about Rebirth. You're right, no way to drop 'em in vanilla/WotL.

The Binding of Isaac Rebirth - Your unlucky runs

There is a way to drop trinkets. You know the key/button that toggles between your active card or pill when you have starter deck or little baggy, respectively? If you hold that for about five seconds, you drop your trinket(s) and any cards or pills you might be holding.

    Games for Beginners

Basics: Rayman Legends or Origins. They're incredibly bright, vibrant, beautiful to look at and listen to, the characters are funny and endearing, and have a kind of infectious enthusiasm to them. The gameplay starts out simple and gradually becomes more demanding. In Legends, you can hop back...

8 JRPGs Better Than Final Fantasy 7

FF V is my favourite FF game too. It's one of the very few FF games I liked, and I never met anyone who considered it their favourite, too. You and I are friends now. This is not optional.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Unleashes The Lunar Fragtrap Fall 2014

I'm with you on this. The thing that really set BL2 apart from the first was its exceptional writing and the fact that it actually a plot, a world, lore, etc. I'll be worried if Anthony Burch isn't involved. It's a nice surprise and a little bit of a disappointment at the same time. I'm happy...

Rust Hits It Big On Steam Early Access

I've been having a lot of fun with Rust, it's nice to see it doing so well. The developers are really honest, too. Just take a look at the website and you'll see them talking directly to their players and admitting things that most other devs wouldn't dare to admit, for example; directly...

Borderlands 2 Gets Festive With Christmas DLC

It's not included in the season pass because, unlike the four DLC expansions that are included, these weren't planned when the season pass was released & priced. The season pass was, basically, Gearbox saying; "We're going to make four DLC expansions and we don't know what they are yet, but...

Typing of the Dead: Overkill Takes Steam by Surprise

This made my day! I loved Typing of the Dead many many years ago, and I loved Overkill. Given the cult following TotD has I'm surprised it took them this long to give Overkill the same treatment.
