Thanks for clearing that up for me, I always forget how Bethesda the publisher and Bethesda game studios are different entities. I still wish they wouldn't tarnish the name of TES with an online game that sounds, by all accounts, to be a crappy wow clone

I am so disappointed by the whole concept of TES Online. I wish they'd scrap the project and focus on fallout, but i suppose it's too late for that.

It looks pretty, but I'm wary. Mainly because of how unicolor everything looked, and the fact that you are going to be basically thousands of feet underground for the whole game... That seems like it's going to invite lots of corridors and same-y gameplay.

The road is did a great job (both the movie and the book) of portraying the human realities of an apocalyptic situation. Children of Men as well, but I liked the movie much better.

Just a question: What would everyone think about a similar offer from steam? I know Origin (and EA in general) has become evil incarnate in the vidja game business, but how would you guys feel about Notch making the move to steam, and using a workshop-style mod manager? just curious

This, this, this. The whole point of the Elder scrolls games seems to be giving you a massive, open world to explore and make your own. On paper, it seems like that would be a perfect seed for an MMO, but (at least in my limited experience) an MMO really doesn't allow you to create your own...

I agree... It seems like they could have released this as a new game series and it would have been just as good. I don't see what they gain by milking a dying brand name. What if they had another mythos, or some sort of unique humor that was the selling point instead of simply a brand name that...

Absolutely. The variety and bizarre nature of the land of Morrowind was so spectacular. Although, as multiple others have said, Rapture and Aperture labs were both simply excellent in their design choices as well.
