Name Game: A Boy and His Bike

Heh, replace the grandfather with big Kino and Jack with little Kino, and you've basically got the prologue to Kino's Journey.

Activision Is Platform Agnostic, Says Kotick

No, he's got it right. Pretty much anyway. Check the third definition here: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/agnostic#Adjective

IKEA Manuals Demonstrate How to Build Sci-Fi Staples

Indeed. Also, I have to say that, to me, the names like "litsabbur" and "tjardiis" have more of an Icelandic ring to it than Swedish. Not that I now Icelandic, I probably just insulted the whole Icelandic language. At any rate, they do not look like Swedish names at all.

3DS Piracy Targeted by Two-Prong Firmware Attack

I'm sorry, but does no one realise that this actually prevents homebrew games as well? Perfectly legal (at least as far as copyright and such goes; I don't know what the 3DS license says about it), often open source developers are hindered just as much as pirates by this. These are people that...

Nintendo Blocks Flash Carts With DSi Software Update

Well that sucks. I really don't like how Nintendo is treating the homebrew community. There are a lot of quality homebrew applications out there for the DS that people have spent a lot of time on, and now Nintendo are shutting the whole community out. Note that I'm not talking about piracy, not...

THQ Impressed by 3DS Anti-Piracy Tech

This is really too bad, since it will probably set back the homebrew community. The homebrew community for the NDS was quite large and interesting and produced a lot of nice freeware/open source applications for the DS, for example Still Alive DS, Bob's Game, ClIRC, Warhawk, etc.

Who Would Pirate the One-Cent Humble Indie Bundle?

Well, to be picky this is actually one of the arguments for pirating; convenience. Other services often can't compare to how simple it is to pirate something, especially in cases like this when it's a matter of simply following a direct link to download the bundle (as I understood it from the...

Who Would Pirate the One-Cent Humble Indie Bundle?

TorrentFreak wrote a good article on this, and takes a slightly different view than this one: http://torrentfreak.com/piracy-when-even-a-penny-is-too-much-100510/

    Where's the "I don't watch TV" option?

    Yahtzee vs. the JRPG

Have you ever played FFIX? It's kind of a throwback to pre-FFVII, and it's actually my favourite in the series. I never really liked FFVII, FFVIII or FFX and later, I prefer fantasy over sci-fi in Final Fantasy games.

Valve Announces Steam and Source for Mac

I agree. Especially since both OS X and Linux are Unix-like, meaning that code that runs on OS X should run on Linux or at least should be easier to port to Linux.
