Well, do you mean the plasma rifle that you pick up near the boss? Because I mean the laser rifle that I picked up at Tong's place, the one that has a scope and has 500 rounds in a magazine, or can you fire at her with any weapon (and do damage) once the pods are open?

Did you have to win the last boss fight like that? Personally I just used my laser rifle that I had lying around, activated all of the pods and fried Zhao, is this a glitch? or is it just a clever exploitation (maybe energy Force fields/shields don't absorb laser fire?)

On the Unova pokedex I have 149/151, excluding zora-zorark, this is really irritating, as the only ones missing are the event pokemon. Can't find my previous games, so no transfer, but it is a pretty good completion rate for no cheats.

Maybe there could be an escort mode like in breach, where team A has to escort a truck to a point, where team B tries to destroy it, it would fix the problem of people rushing ahead, but would create problems as the players couldn't set their own pace. But IMO don't worry too much about...

Evee or espeon, both are adorable companions and espeon has combat efficiency, which is a plus.

I think that the stalker mode sounds good, and something about the holdout mode, I think the defenders should be given match points like in LFD2, so they take the longest they held out for, and give the team a few points for every 10 seconds they hold the objective, a major bonus if they survive...
