I'm interested in the new trilogy as it's clearly trying to go in a new direction with the same lore. That being said, the original had a pretty clear and satisfying ending with Halo 3. When I played 4 it felt heavily disconnected from it's predecessors.

I don't think the Call of Duty Franchise is ruining video games. It?s a franchise that knows what it?s doing. While I?m not a follower or a fan to me the creators seem to put genuine effort into their creations, which I find commendable even if I do not feel the same way about the content.

I'd argue it's more on the publisher then the developers not having the right chops. Even a seasoned programming wizard needs time to learn new technologies and techniques. Computer science is always changing, it's not something you learn once and then everything builds off of for all time...
