I think that the best way to turn a video game into a movie would be to take a game with lots of lore or in game history (mech warrior, elderscrolls...) and use that to flesh out a story that has a few paragraphs in the game.

I would have to recommend the logitech G5. Its a good solid mouse, custom weight, decent dpi, dpi +- buttons, 5 button mouse, clicky scroll wheel (I hate the smooth ones too). The buttons have a very nice click so you know when you press them just make sure you use it away from sleeping people...
