They could always change the story & key characters around a bit to fit their needs, but hopefully that won't fly with Whedon.

The revelation would've been interesting if I hadn't already known about it from the comics, but it is a shock to see it used in the Movie Universe. I just hope they NEVER roll out the crap story elements from Civil War, Avengers Disassembled (Because Scarlet Witch) or House of M.

I'm gonna have to agree with Dark here. It's not ALWAYS about appealing to Heterosexual guys, just MOST of the time. Buffy Summers suddenly being Bi is a better example of actual pandering.
