I found The Escapist after googling Yahtzee's name after seeing it mentioned briefly on Spoony's TVTropes page. I liked Zero Punctuation and Extra Credits, so I stayed. I joined the site a few months later.

The .gif looks pretty good from a technical standpoint. What I don't understand is why Americans being killed in a game set in America is a big thing. People die, who gives a shit about where they're from?

Isometric, while a tiny bit confusing for the non-gamer, is a good thing. It gives a sense of depth and scale better than simple top-down perspective. Many good games did use it, and I agree with the sentiment that it should be brought back.
