I agree to that statement myself. Unless the game was meant to be multiplayer it should be able to survive with just the single player. Take MGS4 for example. It holds up well enough on it's own with single player and I really don't know why they bother adding multiplayer but it wouldn't have...

As a critic he'll tear apart every fault he can find and abuse every metaphor he can to do it. That being said, there's a possibility he may like it. But, with the likelihood of people mailing him to review it, he's most likely going to take it down just to spite those people.
