From what I've read CD Projekt Red worked closely with Nvidia for two years on integration of their technology. AMD had access to the game and team that whole time, but largely didn't use it.
I don't remember exactly where I read it (possibly here on The Escapist), but according to CD Projekt...
Re-bought Darksiders series and Saints Row series on GOG.com, because I love DRM-free games and often play them at a much later time than everybody else. Still holding out on Metro Last Light, because my computer is probably not up to snuff for that title and I probably get a sweeter discount...
This is disappointing news. I hope that it will return in some form, preferable still having the vibe of Hexen, that a lot of us were looking forward to.
I don't know what didn't work, but hopefully it is a game they will return to and not scrap entirely.
Of course not, but I didn't say "small", I said "smaller". And what I meant was primarily in terms of output of the development branch. They are pretty much banking on one game and one game only.
They are obviously huge in other respects (their subsidiaries), both by being a Polish distributor...
I admit the comparison to Ubisoft's Watch_Dogs looks rather apt, but I have more faith in a smaller studio/publisher like CD Projekt Red than a big studio/publisher like Ubisoft. Ubisoft was (and still is) obviously running the numbers game and sadly didn't spend enough time even by pushing the...
Surely any knowledge of "the science" of The Force was lost, when the Jedi were pretty much eradicated. Neither Yoda nor Obiwan passed it on to Luke.
Scientific explanations to magic serves no purpose in my opinion other than to demystify it, which in-universe usually undermines it. I can...
There's a huge difference between delaying to fix bugs and developing without a set end date.
DNF was an example of the latter. Sure, DNF had some proposed release dates, but their delay was never just about fixing bugs.
Personally, I wanted DNF to be good and for them to take all the time...
Let me get this straight. Ron Gilbert is now kickstarting the game (well, type and style), that people expected Tim Schafer to be making when they pulled our nostalgia strings. It even has a similar goal ($375,000$ vs $400,000). The description of how the production will go sounds pretty solid...
You should probably spend more time reading the source article. The rights to AquaNox came to Nordic Games through their acquisition of JoWood back in 2011 and not through its more recent purchase of THQ properties.
