Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide Headed to Consoles In October

It's a pretty solid game, but once you've run through the campaign a few times it starts to get somewhat grindy, and so the player base has declined over time. Fatshark does a good job of listening though, but because they are fairly small it takes them a while to bring in much needed updates...

Beta Testing Begins For New Traveller Core Rulebook

My uncle gave me his old copy of the 1977 rulebook back when I was a teenager. Man I loved crafting ships just to see what I could put in them.

Has anyone else spent enough money on certain games, that you're actually embarrassed to admit it ?

I put way too much money over the years into warhammer 40k. I had a lot of fun with it, but now it's sitting in my parents basement in storage until I can find the time to bring to split up everything in those boxes to resell them on ebay. I'll probably keep the odd model I converted heavily and...

When can we have a WW2 game with an axis campaign?

You look at a single soviet statistic of 10 million rapes (which looks a lot like propaganda numbers)and quote an article that is little more than a review of "Soldat" by Knappe (A book I actually read all of by the way, while most German soldiers were aware of crimes, even supported them, only...

When can we have a WW2 game with an axis campaign?

You didn't really read what I wrote did you? Maybe just the first paragraph then you went on your tirade. They are in no way equivalent, but you cannot at the same time say that every single soldier fighting in the Wermacht or the imperial army were monsters. Both of those armies, and the...

When can we have a WW2 game with an axis campaign?

The thing when looking at any real war, is that it becomes harder and harder to look at anything as good vs. Evil. If you look at the number of rapes committed by American GIs in occupied Japan and the brutal execution of Japanese prisoners during the war it becomes harder to look at the allies...

When can we have a WW2 game with an axis campaign?

Red Orchestra 2 allows you to play as Germans and Japanese, though it is primarily a multiplayer game (exclusively really) so I'm not sure that counts. As for wartime atrocities, you can see them occasionally in the Company of heroes games, though the german campaign was more about valiant last...

The best 40k trailer you will see all year.

Welp, looks interesting, though I also feel the music is a little out of place for the setting. While I don't feel 40k always needs to be taken seriously (I was an ork player who made a rock band riding a "boombox" wagon) it still felt a little off. Anyway, still waiting to see some actual...

So Just How Much DLC Does Evolve Have at Launch? $100 Worth

Welp, having played the beta, I can say the game was a lot of fun, but at 70$ for the base game here in Canada, I can't see myself buying it full price. The DLC is mostly cosmetic, so I don't really care, but the other monster would have been nice to see implemented into the game rather than as dlc.

Games that simply MUST be made

I'd love to see some more urban fantasy style games done right. Something in the Dresden-verse would be nice but any urban fiction would be awesome.

    Popular Franchise you hate

Hate is far too strong a word for anything so trivial. I dislike some games, but most of the mainstream games you have listed tend to be more mediocre than downright bad. Granted, you pretty much just listed every major franchise around at the moment so I'm pretty sure you are either trying to...

DayZ, Arma 2 Running Off To Join Steam's Circus

Now I'm wondering if there is any news on ARMA III, since I tried to play a game with my friends yesterday and it is no longer possible to connect to each other except through LAN. Well, hopefully this means the hotfix is coming soon.

Poll: You will never be as happy in life as you are when in a relationship

Well it kind of depends, in general, I am not significantly happier now, engaged and about to get married to a woman I love very much, than I was most of the time before I met her. I still do and enjoy the same things and still have ups and downs. That said, the downs are now much easier to...

Poll: Jim Sterling Calls Out New Assassin's Creed (for racism/sexism?)

Technically speaking, it would be historically accurate to potentially have at least a few Mulatto assassins over from Haiti, which was a French slave colony that entered open revolt around the same time. Heck, there were even a few free Haitians who came over to support the revolution, so there...

Who would win in a fight: you or your avatar?

Well, either I am fighting a century and a half year old corpse. So I'm pretty sure I can win. Otherwise I am fighting a somewhat crazy old semi-homeless man who declared himself the emperor of the United States. Though I would probably then have to fight most of San Francisco.
