It's kind of scary when you think about it. More and more publishers are treating us consumers like we're renting the game instead of buying it. You don't rent movies, books, and cd's for full price, do you?

To give up gaming completely the publishers would have to unite and all of them would start using the "Always on" internet requirement. No one's connection is 100% stable 100% of the time. The day this happens is the day I would be most likely to give up gaming completely.
