    Grim Fandango Remastered

Own it because it was next to impossible to make the old one play on my computer for ...countless issues. There are some subtle visual effects and a very nice orchestral soundtrack. You can change the control scheme from "modern" to the old one (they even contacted the original modder of the...

Is it really an issue of gender equality?

Er...purpose. These days you get three or four reasons for doing whatever you're doing: 1. Saving the world (debatable since the main can be a jackass) 2. Money (debatable since there are some things that money just can't make you do) 3. Revenge 4. Saving of a loved one. 3 and 4 can go...

Mundane Tasks in Video Gaming... SO MUCH FUN!!

I added a lot of food mods to Skyrim for fun and then spent the best part of three days gathering ingredients, gardening, cooking and stacking the shelves with the food. I could have fed the entire Imperial army with those. I didn't even have a survival mode so there was no need to eat.

Poll: Which game should i play ?

What do you want to play? I played Alan Wake. If you have it and the DLCs and expansion, it's definitely worth a look, if you can cope with the camera and shooty periods. Witcher 2 will take some time to play and you'll need at least 2 playthroughs to get everything. It's a great game but...

Divinity: original sin kickstarter 24h to go!

Original Sin is expected to be released in October or November 2013 because it had been worked on for a bit. Wasteland 2 comes out around the same time. The other two, Eternity and Torment are coming out in 2014 spring-ish.

Divinity: original sin kickstarter 24h to go!

They didn't reach it. They're 5k short of a mil, but they're gonna add the NPC schedules anyway. Everyone says that the rest is gonna get added anyway on paypal. The Codex and the Watch have already added 1k more to the pot.

    GOG, Kickstarter and Larian

Well true, but the first of something isn't bad. Might attract more people that way. And it might become a niche thing. It sort of reminds me of Sacrifice...which was widely acclaimed, even though it didn't sell that well. We'll wait and see, I guess, though I really want it to be a good game.

    GOG, Kickstarter and Larian

Source: here [http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/larianstudios/divinity-original-sin] which is also their Kickstarter for a better Original Sin along with six updates showing off gameplay and stuff. Which one are you more excited about? Dragon Commander looks nice and interesting. Dragons...

    Poll: Tolerance of other's opinions

Depends on the environment where it's being discussed. I don't care if a friend says he didn't like a game I played (and that's happened quite a lot and vice versa) but over the internet in a discussion about it, I like to be able to..you know? Discuss. I've never gotten angry about it and I...

When you lost the 'willing' part from willing suspension of disbelief

Not being able to continue with a quest for no good reason or making it have a ham-fisted end by only allowing stupid options. Example: In Skyrim, Riverwood...who got pissed off at the Faendal/Camilla/Sven quest? It makes no sense to even do it. Or in DA2, there's a quest that ends up...

    Poll: Favorite Dragon Age Origin

Dwarf commoner if only because it shows you truly excelling at something. Mage because you can get out of your mess without Duncan, if you played your cards right. Dalish elf was decent, but the lack of interaction with the elements of the backstory (like the dwarves, mages or city elf) was...

Games that overestimate the strength of its bad guys.

Bethesda has a lot of this problem. Take Miraak from the Dragonborn DLC. I didn't even feel any sort of dislike for him. And he died pretty quick if you picked your Shouts right. None of the enemies in Skyrim felt really challenging. I say that the real enemy in Skyrim is weight encumbrance...

Things you feel bad about in videogames (Spoilers might be present)

Not really...I actually liked blowing up Megaton. I tend to play evil characters. The only moments that made me feel bad in games was when the NPC companions I liked, died. Like the times when Rex or Dogmeat were killed. I reload no matter what. I also never kill dogs in the Witcher, for the...
