Okay, I love, *LOVE* System Shock 2, but I will hold my excitement until we have details, and possibly demo footage.
This is an unknown studio with only one other project to their name that isn't even published yet... as far as I'm concerned, this might as well be a Steam Greenlight project.
I'm just picturing now Valve opening up their corporate e-mail system and discovering a massive back-log they didn't know about.
"Huh, apparently people really want that sequel to Half-Life we promised. We honestly didn't think anyone cared about that!"
The idea's been tossed about a lot since they brought the show back, and I think it has merit... but when the idea is coming from an executive it gives me pause. Just ask Colin Baker and Slyvester McCoy what they think of "executive meddling" in Doctor Who.
Sony: We just couldn't invest the time and money in making the PS4 backwards-compatible with PS3 games, but taking the time and money to re-release individual PS3 games? That we can do!
Not as terrible as I expected (but that's not really praise). Seems like they have the spirit of the characters down, but the overall plot still sounds stupid, and the character designs look even weirder than they did in the trailers.
I have a sneaking suspicion that half the people who answered "No" were being sarcastic; most of the Gamestop employees I've encountered figuratively beat you over the head with their trade-in offers and specials.
Funny enough, I grew up in Pontiac, and I know that building. Sad to say, it is the nicest-looking tech building in that area. The reason they're probably shooting there is because it's been vacant for a while (note the empty parking lot and barely-kept lawn).
