    Origin Adds 11 More Publishers

Ditto CD Projekt and GOG. The fact is that the above users seems to have read "will have games on" as "has signed an exclusivity deal with", which is wrong. Hence, knees have been jerked.

    The New Shiny Escapist

While my eyes are man enough to handle the brightness, I do have to admit that the front page is a bit of a mess. Previously it was reasonably well organised, but now everything has been thrown everywhere for no apparent reason. Also, I can't seem to find the video archives for old shows.

Daily Drop: Daily Drop: Behind the Scenes

Pretty much the only exception now, but a) at the time of the post, they were there and b) they've all be re-uploaded on Penny Arcade [http://penny-arcade.com/patv/show/extra-credits].

Saints Row: The Third PC Requirements Revealed

Gentlemen of the Row [http://idolninja.com/sr2.php] is the mod of choice for Saints Row 2 players, and the guys behind it have already started fiddling with the Initiation Station [http://idolninja.com/blog/?p=1130], so the odds of mods are fairly high. As for the quality of the PC version...

Xbox LIVE hack doing the rounds

It's probably less the achievements and more people selling Ultimate Team cards for real money. Obviously, there's also a hole in the 360 implementation of Origin in FIFA 12, since I've yet to hear reports of PS3 users suffering this fate.

Activision Hunts Down Modern Warfare 3 Leaks

Ehh... The problem is that it's Steamworks game, and so the disc doesn't include the encryption key to unlock the .exe. Therefore, even if it leaked fully, it'll probably still be largely useless until launch day. The console versions, on the other hand...

Anonymous Threatens Fox News Over Occupy Wall Street

I'd imagine that since they've announced it, Fox News will throw up a few more servers, making the whole thing a damp squib.

CoD is a very good game, we wouldn't be discussing it if it wasn't.

The point: Modern Warfare 1 was a decent game. Still doesn't excuse everyone and their pet dog (Activision and EA especially) from copying it and making a hash of it. I am sick and tired of identikit, QTE-infested linear corridor manshooters. And identikit military multiplayer manshooters...

CoD is a very good game, we wouldn't be discussing it if it wasn't.

Call of Duty is killing innovation, as blatant over hyped copycat campaigns flood the market (see: Homefront, Battlefield 3's single player, Crysis 2's multiplayer, Medal of Honor Reboot, Modern Warfare 2, Black Ops, Modern Warfare 3 etc.) I'd wish they all would just not sell and then it'll all...

Is this the real reason Publishers are all up in arms about Used Sales all of a sudden?

    1) OP forgot about the most popular console, the Wii. 2) Even then, the PS2 absolutely wiped the floor with its competitors (outselling its competitors combined sales about three times over), while the Wii hasn't out-sold its rivals combined, so there's more competition in this generation of...

    G4 Gives Uncharted 3 a 4/5: Madness Ensues

Eurogamer also gave the game 8/10 [http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-10-21-uncharted-3-drakes-deception-review], similar uproar ensues. No wonder games reviewing is in such a mess.

Team Fortress 2 F2P Ban mod WTH?

It's less "grey area" and more "likely to break if Valve so much as touch the tools in question". At least, that's how past grey area mods have broken, and I wouldn't be surprised if this breaks in a similar manner.

EA Says There's "Scope" to Remake the Original Syndicate

Quite honestly, I'd rather they do some action and let GOG re-release the original games. Actions speak louder than words, after all.

Warner Bros. Officially Greenlights Live-Action Akira

Money, dear boy. $57.5 million box office out of a $30 million dollar budget. As far as Fox is concerned, that would be "reasonably successful". Sure, sequel potential is zero, so Fox seems to have not attempted to try again. Still, I'll be willing to bet that's why we're talking about a...

Warner Bros. Officially Greenlights Live-Action Akira

Point D still applies however: I'd imagine the posters will resemble those of Dragon Ball Evolution, and we all know how that went down. In fact, Dragon Ball Evolution seems to be the model this film is taking, and while that was reasonably successful, I doubt lightning will strike twice.
