Nah, one of the main reasons I personally even like the franchise is relative lack of plot armor. And for me fifth season and book were no less enjoyable than first ones. And no, I'm fine with villains being relatively fine and well. You know, they are as necessary to the story as protagonists.
A joke about current generation AMD GPU's should have been about space heaters. 280X beats GTX 960 really hard for the price, but one of those things will raise your room temperature after an hour of gaming.
Modern games need more moral choices with consequences that aren't "be good" or "be evil", both from perspective of having choices where there's no right answer and from perspective of choices being made through gameplay as opposed to pressing menu buttons.
So now that pre-release is out I can definitely say that the game is not worth buying at the moment. It still lacks a great number of features that it needs to be an interesting game.
Demos are not being released because publishers know that they set expectations too high and not deliver them. People actually trying games before buying them would actually decrease the sales.
I generally prefer subtitles because for me they take no effort to read, while in many cases understanding speech requires conscious effort. English is my second language though.
I would never need subtitles for my native language (Russian), but that's mostly because of phonetics of Russian...

The worst thing about gaming industry is AAA publishers that are too afraid of doing anything new. Most of new games are almost exactly the same as old ones in terms of gameplay and narrative. New ideas are few and far between. For example, Shadow of Mordor's nemesis system...
I don't care about public opinion on tastes, it's just that I can't imagine what was going on inside your head while you were watching it so that it made inside your top list.
