    Jimquisition: The Adblock Episode

They used to, don't know if they still do since I'm a member now, advertise it at the tail end of videos a lot.

    Jimquisition: The Adblock Episode

Not trying to be a shill here, just trying to point out the benefits of the alternatives... The Pub Club gives you access to HTML5 versions of all of their videos, which means that you can have the flashplayer plugin turned off all you want and still be able to watch their content. Again, that's...

I don't know if that was a typo or not, but it's $20 a YEAR, not per month. It's like the cost of buying 1 DVD/Blu-Ray.

If you're using AdBlock on Firefox, and you have the widget in your bar, then just click the little stop sign ABP icon and you can select "Disable on escapistmagazine.com" to whitelist this domain. It's really that simple.

    Jimquisition: The Adblock Episode

I run AdBlock on Firefox by default and then whitelist websites that I use frequently. The Escapist has been whitelisted for a LONG time (I think I first started coming here back in like '06 or something?), but then you guys started the SUPER annoying video ads and quarter page tear ad things...

    Jimquisition: Super Ethical Vlogging Climax

Ummm...because it was leaked? How else would we know about any of this?

    Jimquisition: Super Ethical Vlogging Climax

At least Jim got the facts mostly right, unlike the Escapist Podcast. One thing he glossed over though was that the NDA that was a part of this deal did NOT prevent disclosure, it was just an NDA on the terms of the contract. In other words, they could've said "The following video is brought to...

    Zero Punctuation: Dead Rising 3

You know Yahtzee, with the XBox One you could plug the console you had to remove from your TV in through it's pass through HDMI port. Or you could do it with you cable box, 360, PS3 or whatever else you have lying around. =)

    The Master

You guys forgot the part where she macros a series of complex commands that are executed faster than a human could possibly do to a single keypress. Oh, and then tells anyone who says it's hard to do that series of commands to "L2P".

    Movie Defense Force: Jason X

I saw this in the theater when it came out back in the day. When it got to the scene of beating the girl in the camping bag with the OTHER girl in a camping bag I couldn't stop laughing.

Australian Government Scrutinizes Videogames Classification Rules

Of course there's going to be disagreement when we all use different rating systems. For one, there is no "15+" equivalent in the ESRB rating system. It jumps from T (13+) to M (17+) with nothing in the middle. So a game that got an M here might very well get a 15+ in Australia simply because...

Bioware: Next Mass Effect on "The Right Track"

I totally have faith that they'll write a great story and single player experience that I will love and cherish as I have the rest of the series...BUT WHAT'S UP WITH THE MULTIPLAYER?!?! Seriously, I played that mode for a year with my friends and loved every minute of the over 350 hours I dumped...

    Jimquisition: Creative Freedom, Strings Attached

I think the perfect illustration of why it should be asked, and why the developer's response is a valid one, is the game Remember Me. Early on the designers of that game settled on a female protagonist. As development went on they started to feel very strongly about that choice for personal...
