Yeah, they're both considered to be sports. So if they weren't sports, I wouldn't defend e-sports.
As long as non-physical sports remain, e-sports are justified in my eyes.
I kinda have to disagree with you there.
If you've ever seen the SC2 and fighting game scene, you might reconsider.
Do you think differently of poker tourneys?
Is that a desperate plea to make people think that poker is a "legitimate pastime?"
What about chess tournaments? Is that...
HAHA! Simpletons! I live in the wonderful place known as New York! Fear my culture!
I feed on your jealousy...and pasta!
*Twists evil mustache*
No, seriously. It's pretty nice here. We have nightlife...and good food.
Favela in MW2 was really great. Jumping across rooftops knife-only. Fucking sweet.
2fort in TF2 is a classic. I could play that map for hours and not get bored.
Metalpolis in SC2. The most fun map in any RTS ever.
Valhalla in Halo 3. Just because it's awesome.
I, personally have never gotten mad at a game. Ever.
I can get mad at some people playing a game, but I don't recall ever yelling out something like:
"This is such Bullshit!" or shit like that.
Not even Dark Souls! Even if that game took me forever to figure out and then finally beat...
Starcraft 2.
I swear I think that Blizzard laces their games with crack because I always find myself trying to get to the next league, even when I don't want to play.
That and Dark Souls for a while, I love that game so much...
List of my favorite fighting games currently:
Soul Calibur V
Tekken 6
Street Fighter 4
Mortal Kombat 9
BlazBlue
SF x Tekken
Soul Calibur and Mortal Kombat are probably the best of them in my opinion.
