Good thing the game isn’t an rpg or arpg then. It’s more of an open world dmc. Combat and exploration are the core engagement.
You think reviewers are excited about every game they have to review as part of their job? I think it’s more of the exception that they’d be excited and care about...
Right which makes my point for me cause people didn't seem to have this issue of getting bored of skyrim cause the main quest was plain and generic cause the game had so much else to do. They just opted to do it in its case.
That only applies to linear games, not games where you can just set forth from chapter 1 and not do any main quests and just explore and get lost in the world for tens of hours. Can you imagine if Skyrim was handled this way? Do you remember its reviews and how each person had their own little...
Contribution is a currency you spend at specialist shops. I’ve found one in the main town in Hernand but for greymanes you need to probably reunite with the particular greymane npc before you can cash in your points.
That’s a very long term quest you contribute to gradually. It’s not meant to be something you undertake. It’s like putting savings away to one day buy a boat. Little bit here and there. I think I got the coin and lumber parts down but the minerals I am hoarding for myself for upgrades so they’ll...
Elden Ring is baby mode anyways. Have him play Sekiro. That separates the men from the magic users.
And yeah the first fights are more like button tutorials with some narrative thrown in. Not really challenges at all.
Basically with those if you attack at the opposite direction of the other guy you do a parrying strike that 1shots most dudes. It’s finicky but if you get it down and get like a big greatsword you turn into a sword saint real fast.
Did you unlock the master strikes? Those kinda make the combat. Before that you’re kinda bumbling and are best served with like a club or axe where you can bash enemies with no regard for technique.
Bosses definitely are more souls combat than normal mobs. And normal mobs are half musou and half yakuza basically. You wanna use massive AoE moves like the light attack + dash button move that slashes all around you. Or the focus + light attack AoE energy wave to make space, or the grab that...
This game's for everyone! It's way more mobile than sf6, you have chars flying all over the place and doing cool stuff, not a boring poking fest. At least give it a shot in an upcoming beta before deciding against it.
Another day another big patch. Too big to post but apparently some legendary beasts become permanent mounts now and Kliff can sleep and flying uses less stamina. All good stuff.
