I've found the GTA series to be hilarious, and obviously portal, every line is memorable beyond belief

Silent hill 2, 3, 4, system shock 2, the suffering & fatal frame 2 all come close but nothing is more scarier than the original silent hill.

I think the fact that the jokes are still flying all over the place just shows how well valve made the story. The story hooks people in and keeps them there forever, just like the cake will forever not be a lie. Being isolated from the world and going through tests with only the promise of cake...
