(those are all action RPGs basically proving my point)
Maybe I am to old and hang around people who are to old for my point to make sense here, but I get what you all are saying. Though I still not get why everyone is against reviwers explaing how games work in their reviews. That completely...
Well I think even if it is just 30 000 people playing a -mod- for a niche game, that is a big success to me. It means that a considerable part of the game consumers wanted a more in depth experience that the game originally offered.
I do not think you understand what I am getting at...
@Bombiz
Yeah that is probably what I should do, though it is less then optimal because some of the problems only really get obvious after a long time into the game. Also with Let's Plays I tend to listen more to what the person says then to what is on the screen, but that should be fixable^^...
Dear Escapist community,
I hope you are all doing fine^^
I am among the, apparently, very few people who got terribly burned by Dragon Age Orgins. The game was sold to me by pretty much every review as a deep, non linear game with high replayability. To me it had none of those (I will...
What strikes me when looking at older games is that they often managed to convey the scope much better then modern games do.
A contemporary example would be X-Com. I never felt a single time while playing the remake, that I was managing Earth's last Defense against a superior enemy. The...
Dissapointing for ps4 owners, but if it results in a better game I think the wait will be worth it. In the end we tend to complain about games that are poorly polished or lack in content or don't take full advantage of their setting and mechanics, so in the long run this -might- be seen as good...
These are the companies which have such an authoritarian agenda I'd almost call them fascist, but they are capitalists in the truest definition of the word.
Profiting from free market, promotiong it superficially, but in reality they are fundamentally opposed to true freedom and just seek...
And how is this not a perfect representation what a capitalist society truely is? free market does not equal capitalism, in fact they are almost the opposite.
(Also i have to ask, how is the USA socialist? I am a political scientist so I am really curious^^)
snarking aside...
This is...
Also, the NPD is so limited in it's scope that it hardly matters on a global scale. Dunno how it is in the states, but in europe XB1s keep piling up in shops because no one buys them.
Let's just assume this works how MS claims it does (even if it is hard to believe ^^) how is this any more significant or efficient to "gamers" as let's say, just streaming the game completely?
I mean, developers have had trouble getting the maximum out of multicores or even just multi GPU...
Love it ^^ my favorite parts were the:
"Mr. Sterling will be transitioning from the company in May."
"Mr. Chipman will be transitioning from the company in May."
etc.
jokes :)
