Eeh watch out, the one thing these people have over an introspective developer integrating these elements into their product, is no fanbase ready to lynch them for implementing a Pay-to-Win model. No I think fix-the-spade was more on the money with It's not a question of ways to monetise...

I am struggling to see why I should be compelled to get into this, given as a PC user I'm still not allowed to play the first game and experience the first part of the story, and they don't appear to have any plans to change that...

... It occurs to me that that poor crystal's not even in the wrong, really. 'Elemental Crystal of Light' kinda reads fine if you just realise Elemental doesn't have to mean 'light element' in this context, just, you know, fundamental. Like say, a pillar of the natural order.

Honestly? I'm .. almost glad. I mean I am glad in that they're taking the time they need - people that rag on developers for delays to their formal release really get up my nose, even when their projects aren't crowd-funded. But given the nature of No Man's Sky and its goals and priorities...
