You called asexuality unhealthy and accused someone claiming it to be lying.
That's why I called you a dick. Because that was a very dickish statement.
Okay, I'd read through all this thread and was about to tab out believing everything had been said.
But I realized that while we were talking about "unrealistic expectations," no one seemed to be mentioning anything beyond body type and what to expect from sex. Those are fine, but they don't...
And is it perhaps that because we view the overactive sexuality of porn, hentai, and sex education itself that we've come to this conclusion that individuals with low sex drives (or lack of) are "unhealthy"?
I saw this guys name on twitter a while back talking about him being kicked off a boat by a crowd of angry women.
I proceeded to follow a link to his twitter and it immediately became clear to me why so many women were assembled to ruin his day.
After just a couple of those tweets I felt...
Okay, honesty time. Definitely once a day, definitely with a lot of visual aid. Usually at night.
More explicitly, I bide my time while checking out videos, and can spend hours working up to the "Space shuttle launch." If I'm done and I really fight the exhaustion that comes (heh)...
I missed that one, but you are spot-on.
Honestly, while the dialogue isn't particularly quotable, the implications of it throughout the movie are extremely memorable.
I saw Nightcrawler on Halloween night and it was a disturbing portrait of socipathy, marred only by pacing issues, but with great music and some pretty thrilling scenes. There's a lot of commentary going on with how Jake Gyllenhal's character is so amoral, but cloaks it in a kind of American...
I liked this better when it was called "Boa VS Python" on the SCI-FI channel.
Just kidding.
I was lucky enough to see this in theaters for some reason, and it had a real "Power Rangers" feel to it. The plot was cookie cutter, and the bad guy feels like a leftover from a "3 Ninjas" film...
"t's belittling because it's an incredibly huge sweeping generalization that turns it into a gendered issue when it is not the case."
WORDS! All you fear is WORDS! Women fear being attacked and then not being able to report the attack because of way society treats them. Men fear being falsely...
The issue is that people assume they were psychopaths, even though that's a diagnosis, versus a murderer, who can be an ordinary person.
If we don't stir up controversy, how are we supposed to get the vast majority of people to listen? Because even when we cite facts or debunk myths, it seems...
"Media doesn't exist in a vaccum which means short of someone never being exposed to the message rape is bad then it would be hard for them to ever think it's right."
So then why do people think its okay to send rape and death threats? Even after playing games where rape and death is shown to...
I'm well aware of the problematic nature of someone "turning asexual," that's why I'm having the character identify early on. Specifically, they've felt this lack of interest in sex for most of their lives and finally come to identify as grey-area asexual when they realize the identification...
