Oddly enough the feels have only recently been happening with Fanfiction lately. Prolly because of all the shoehorning romance issues I have with a lot of authors.
Still. I don't know about feelings exactly, but L.E. Modesitt Jr's Gravity Dreams has always stuck with me.
And more...
That's really good news actually. They should probably take a few years off, but we all know that's not going to happen. I checked out after Black Flag myself. AC3 was a mess but the worst part about it was how cool it could have been if they hadn't switched characters and made Connor's story so...
THIS. I remember how much this was just so unexpected but amazing at the same time. I loved how much you could alter things like being good and having everyone call you Revan if you wanted them to. Scared though that it wouldn't affect me the same way. That game is a definite favorite... but...
God THIS. If I had to think of one show that was ruined for me it'd be Dr. Who. People lose their minds over this show. It's not particularly suited for someone like me anyway (someone that grew up on Asimov and Herbert) but will fans listen? Urggggh.
Did like 9 a bit but once people started...
I'm so worried that it'll be garbage that I won't be seeing it for several weeks.
OT: I'm a little bit surprised actually. I didn't think people would be this all over it. Did I watch the same trailer as everyone else? I'm not even trying to start something, I'm genuinely wondering what I'm...
Oh maaaan Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 was a truly fun game. I haven't played it in so long but it'll always be a fond memory.
OT:For the games I never really get tired of playing...
-Oblivion (Elder Scrolls)
-Mass Effect 2 (I am probably one of those 3 people that played the game 49 times)
-LoZ...
I've been playing Gears of War. The original, because it was free at some point and I never got around to it. It's kind of hilarious playing it now and just seeing all the ways it influenced everything that came after. It feels like it did that even more than Halo even though it was probably...
The US is super unforgiving about school. Like I'm poor and so are my parents so I got away with 8,000 dollar loans for my undergrad when my friends god around 47,000.
For Grad school there are SOME options. Depending on the program and your own credentials you might get your tuition waived...
You know at the time everything felt totally doable... but now looking back we were kind of slowly going a little crazy. And it was mostly to chase high GPAs. If I had any advice for an incoming student it'd be that B's are solid. Don't break your back trying to get A's. Nobody cares that I...
Dang son, you're smart. A thing I only pretend to be most of the time.
OT: Graduated in undergrad. Way too unsure about what I want to do in life to go for my Grad/PhD combo program yet. Kinda terrified I'm going to make a huge mistake and be 50K in the hole.
Same for me. Although I wasn't actually aware that they were subpar. I didn't really have a concept for good or bad quality at the time. First good show I watched was... Coyboy Bebop or maybe Trigun. I think they both still hold up, although Trigun might not be for everyone.
I like kettle chips too much to go with corn chips. Although you know I guess the occasion matters, I like tortilla chips with salsa and they are corn based. Although I'm a snob about those...
