Because I want to be engrossed in a film. Whenever I watch a 3D film I feel like the 3D is always reminding me that I'm watching a film - therefore I can't get engrossed. It's as simple as that.
I think it takes more away from a film than it brings to it.
It's really not my decision to make. And besides 'waste' is dependant on how much money you have. If you really want to and you can afford it, fill your boots.
