I will use easy mode for a heavily story based game cause I hate breaking the flow of a story by dying loads but other than that I won't really use it.

What if you live with someone who owns a WiiU then you move out and buy one for yourself or you could break one when it is out of warranty and have to buy another one you could even want to play a game on a friends WiiU but cant download your account and titles onto their console.

Well Tribes ascend can't be played without a PC cause its a PC game so it is the same train of thought. But if you don't want to talk hardware then you still need an operating system to run a free to play game and you would have paid for that.
