Anime wise I'd probably say Cowboy Bebop. Movie wise I'd probably say A Knight's Tale. Videogame wise I would probably say Persona 3. I kind of hate the ending cause I don't like heroic sacrifices, but it fits the game so I have no choice but to like it.

I'll have to go with Xenosaga. First one was released in 2002 and still looks good and quite playable. Star Ocean Till the end of time as well. If we go older school, I would include Super Mario Legend of Seven Stars, Final Fantasy 4,5, 6 and 9 and Chrono Trigger.
