Depends.. fingers crossed when Project Zomboid's multiplayer gets working properly, this might fit your criteria providing you're happy with a low tech isometric graphics engine.
Beautiful ending, well scripted and voice acted as well.
However I was a little annoyed about the choices you can make seen as they didn't make a jot of difference to the outcome.
This has been the problem with Bioware and EA since day one.
Remember when someone ripped open the sound files for Dragon Age: Origins, and found a whole other origin that was in the process of being implemented?
It's an old one, but I chuckled when Max turns up in Dark Forces II.

Note God I can't believe thats over 10 years ago. I feel old now...
(i) Go download World War II online
(ii) Play as the Axis.
(iii) Marvel at the fact your team mates aren't all mongs, unlike the 12 year olds trying to run across a bridge at your fixed position.
The chap whom tried to sue Bioware for misrepresentation of product or whatever it was, that was a step too far. I'm glad he did though, made me have a long hard look at my ridiculous overreaction to a computer game.
My other problem is how much of the source material and novels concepts plagurise other people ideas and do it in such a obvious way..
Ciaphas Cain is effectively Blackadder goes Forth with lasers
Gaunt's Ghosts is Sharpe in space.
Last Chancers is just the Dirty Dozen movies done again...
ArmA II is worth buying even without DayZ expansion, the community that has been nurtured, the constant advances in the game mechanics and additional campaigns/missions/equipment that are made to a professional level make it one of the most replayable games of all time.
Look at it this way...
Although I wouldn't want to play it, a prequel, or setting the game prior to ME3's ending is the only logical way to do this, because as everyone has righty said, there are too many variables to handle if they were to set it after Mass Effect 3.
