imo, the term casual is a reference to the time commitment required to play it. when i log in to WoW for a raid, I am stuck playing for 2-3 hours min. When i play a casual game, I get as much enjoyment out of 5min of playing or 3 hours of playing. hence the reason these games appeal to people...
