As a response to all of the financial type comments and 'where are the benefits?' style questions I just want to say this again. A huge part of my theory here is that Rockstar may have to at least temporarily give them the game in exchange for Agent because how is Rockstar North going to work on...

It's just me speculating based on a few things that I noticed today. I don't 'hope' that Xbox gamers will be deprived of a most likely excellent game.

Well I'm sure that they'd get it for more than a month otherwise that'd be an awful deal especially since the extra time would probably just mean that the 360 version was a bit better.

Rockstar likes to one up themselves so it'll probably be a gigantic game. Red Dead was huge, this'll probably be even bigger, not to mention that this will have buildings.

They've bagged timed exclusive rights for GTA before they could theoretically do it again.

Didn't that only marginally increase sales anyway? No one with a 360 cares about FF. Although that one sucked anyway especially after the awesome that was XII.

You're welcome, as a big fan of IV I have very high hopes for V and the trailer made me convulse and froth at the mouth.

Then why bother being so mysterious about the consoles that it will be on? Unless it's coming out for next-gen consoles but that'd make me sad because I don't have the funds.

Sony has gotten several GTA games as timed exclusives in the past so it's not entirely out of the ordinary behavior for them.

One thing to take into account is that lately Rockstar has been honing their engine for the PS3 with Agent, I'm sure that they've tapped much more thoroughly into its power after such intimate contact over such a long period of time.
