    Jimquisition: The Adblock Episode

ok, If I can get an estimate of how much the advertiser gives to the escapist for each video/page I see, I will gladly match this. people get crazy over this issue, however you look at it using ad to make money in itself is a shameful practice, you can try, but you don't get to get righteous...

    Jimquisition: The Adblock Episode

Sorry, not against you but I want ads gone from the face of the earth. adding a site to a white list and having to support a mind-raping video about something I don't give a sh**k about can not in any way be an act of support. I can't really remember a life with ads (no tv for a long time, no...

The Magic of Old Adventure Games

If you haven't tried it yet, go play "the dream machine". cardboard/clay art and story are great, and the puzzle part, being sometimes pretty classic in a good way, has very original (and relevant-to-the-story) parts that make a clever use of dream logic.

...and now it's been killed by apple with a shovel to make room for new thunderbolt (who has about two peripherals compatible) so there you go.

    Next-Generation USB Will be Reversible

(we used to live in a shoe, in the middle of the road) and in those time we had to solder the cables ourselves to the motherboard. and if you wanted to play a game, you had to to type the entire sourcecode yourself, in one go! those were the days

    Next-Generation USB Will be Reversible

the info that got my attention is "up to 100 watts of power" with the annonced death of firewire, good news for people who like plugging sound interfaces and hard drive on the road.

UPDATE: Try Yahtzee Croshaw's New Game Consuming Shadow

seppuku seems the only dignified reaction I'm afraid.

UPDATE: Try Yahtzee Croshaw's New Game Consuming Shadow

you mean in their underpants? Yes it matters very much, you usually have three boxes, with differents runes or colors, and you have to open the right one, preferably first, because after you open one (the others are empty) you get chased by the scary guy. If you don't open the right one you...

    The Design of Consuming Shadow

This game is really sadistic (as his creator who seems to enjoy our suffering), but you come back for more. I still haven't completed it (I mean with a good ending), but it's a really cool game, the sanity system works very well to drive you mad and you end up putting all your xp in it, the...

UPDATE: Try Yahtzee Croshaw's New Game Consuming Shadow

the color correspond to the god that possess the building, so the god associated to the "claim of territory" rune. in a given place, the color will be the same for the ally god rune and enemy god rune.

UPDATE: Try Yahtzee Croshaw's New Game Consuming Shadow

Died twice very close, one I chose the wrong god (the right one can be either one of the ally, no I know), the second time I had everything to finish, almost no sanity lost, had the severe wound with blood lost and died RIGHT IN THE FREAKING HOSPITAL when about to click the heal button. I'm...

UPDATE: Try Yahtzee Croshaw's New Game Consuming Shadow

A few times I found spell by looking at signs of same color on the wall, but sometimes no order works, I really can't figure out the logic and lose all my sanity (there are 2 runes and 3 runes spells, one is "territory", the other is "curse" or "blessing", or there are both). I still don't...

UPDATE: Try Yahtzee Croshaw's New Game Consuming Shadow

ok this "shoot yourself" trick is really overused, it occurs far too often and at too high sanity levels. been dead 6 times in a row from it. I get frustration from it, not fear.

UPDATE: Try Yahtzee Croshaw's New Game Consuming Shadow

this is pretty good, and very unforgiving. I've played a few hours and still have no clues how to cast spell, and I'm nowhere near having enough clues to finish it. the "shoot yourself" glitch is also a very sneaky move. I really don't like the fact that sometimes you can't complete a building...

    Jimquisition: The Survival of Horror

next frictional game should be somewhat of a consolation for not having your space horror game running away from xenomorphs http://www.somagame.com/ seems much more psychological / meta horror than alien, which is promising
