I had to sit through their set at last years Download festival, after every song the vocalist stopped for 2 minutes to rant about 'all the haters in the crowd'. I can live with bands that make bad music, but their attitude sucks (horribly arrogant in interviews) and the majority of their fanbase...
Try some Djent? Nowhere near enough people seem to know about it.
Just an instrumental version, there's another with lyrics but this kind of gets the genre across better, considering its built around the guitar tones and technicality.
Adore this song (well, technically its 2 songs)
Its sad that Judas Priest are overlooked a bit nowadays, they don't seem to have the same standing as Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath, despite being one of the only other 70's metal bands still kicking (for now).
Not sure if it counts, but I found an Orc warrior stood on the side of a mountain 'waiting for someone to end his life' - a nod back to Umbra from Morrowind maybe?
Stuff like this will always be around, everyone looks for a scapegoat and music (metal and a few other genres in general) are an easy target.
At the end of the day, just ignore it and move on, if people genuinely believe this then nothing will change their mind.
Even the most hardcore of my metalhead friends fails to see why I adore stuff like this
But at the same time I wonder why half of them are obsessed with Dubstep, so it works both ways.
at the end of the day, music is all just down to personal preference
As a massive metallica fan, this makes me really disappointed.
Lou Reed's vocals sound so monotonous, I had to force myself to listen through the entire song...
I'd say Ride the Lightening is the best, though its hard to choose a favourite between the first 4 albums.
Anyway 3 favourite songs would be...
1- Battery
2- Fade to Black
3- Creeping Death
As nice as it sounds, Nintendo has left a sour taste in my mouth over the years.
This new console could be the best thing since sliced bread but if we end up being given the same Mario game they've been re-releasing for the past few years it'll all be a bit pointless.
Hopefully they get a ton...
Not sure this counts, but a posh-looking old woman and her friend stopped outside subway while my girlfriend and me were having lunch, and stared at the two of us for a full 10 seconds, before shaking her head and walking off raging about teenagers with her friend - loud enough for us to hear...
Winters a pretty slow time for most artists, i lucked out with a cancellation too (was originally gonna be waiting until the end of march) and was bumped up the list.
I'm booked in to get my first on the 22nd of January, been planning it for almost 3 years and I plan on getting more afterwards.
I have to agree with other peoples comments though, band tattoo's might sound like a good idea but are you sure your going to feel as strongly for the band a year...
Churchill's speech every time. The man really knew how to push peoples buttons and every time i hear the 'fight them on the beaches' speech i get shivers.
Though i've got to admit there are some pretty epic speeches on that list, I did an entire art project based on Martin Luther King's speech...
