EA on why lootboxes aren't cosmetics only; Because "it's not canon"

Ok, cool down a little. If you want to cover your ears and vent your anger about those "evil developers", be my guest, just don't try to pass those ramblings as "arguments". The OP links to a Jorgensen interview, so yes. Someone was asking someone else about it.

EA on why lootboxes aren't cosmetics only; Because "it's not canon"

I am not excusing them for having loot boxes. As I said, a lot of bad decisions were made... However, the character customization available in previous games was not what both EA and polygon are talking, which was heroes' cosmetic customization. Nobody cares for Stormtrooper 5 or Female Rebel 3...

EA on why lootboxes aren't cosmetics only; Because "it's not canon"

Really? You are complaining about this? It makes a lot of sense, yet it is cool to complain about EA, so obviously they are the only ones to blame for ruining SW. A company that actively lobbies to keep copyright laws from catching up with they mascot's debut, and yet it is so hard to believe...

Poll: So let's talk about the Ninja Turtles...

You need an option for "I loved it." Because that is mine. This is a fighting game about having comic book character hitting each other. The TMNT are far more appropriate for the setting than Scorpion, Raiden or Leatherface. I like when they are allowed to go wild with which characters to...

    CoD: WW2

I don't think "imperialism" is the word you are looking for; more like, "playing it safe". They took the most traveled path imaginable to portrait WW2, for the audience you want to target, with nothing new to say about any of those scenarios that hasn't been covered by better movies, TV shows or...

Why exactly is BotW's open world design so good?

Mostly, because it feels dense. There are a lot of things to find for those that like to explore it, but the game never drags you by the nose to it. In most open world games, you know the only things of interests are those that have an icon on the map. Completing quests in AC is mostly...

Can you guess a game from a line of dialogue? (thread game)

1 is Abe's Oddysey 2 is Final Fantasy X Here is one: "And __ cast himself from the highest mountain in all of Greece. After ten years of suffering, ten years of endless nightmares, it would finally come to an end. Death would be his escape from madness..."

    Conflicting feelings towards Justice League

I am likely going to see it but I have very little hope is going to be more than a Frankenstein of a movie. Unlike what others have said, I think replacing Snyder with Whedon (tragedy aside) is one of the best things that could have happened to the movie, his style was ill-suited for the...

The problem with modern action movies

To be fair, Die Hard was one of a kind in how much punishment the protagonist took. In most action movies at the time, the protagonist were immaculate: Bruce Lee was capable of cleaning a warehouse of grunts without a single one laying a hand on him, Charles Bronson would kill the equivalent of...

Can we talk about the apparent culture of sexual abuse in the american film industry?

Yes, please. Tell me more about how in a city built around the show business, a random woman can freely change agents or reject his advances without fear of repercussions about his life or his career, or make accusations about one of the richest and more powerful people in town and the...

Can we talk about the apparent culture of sexual abuse in the american film industry?

Not to diminish the importance of taking down disgusting people like Weinstein, but this is hardly a new thing. Sexual extortion, influences market, are all "business as usual" in Hollywood. In many ways, having an industry built around money and power on one side, and beauty and charisma on...

Taco News - Cuphead Developer Calls Journalists Wimps

Good old Poe's Law. Never more real than in the current political landscape. Without a very clear indication something on the Internet is supposed to be satire, no matter how extreme, people will confuse it with the real thing. Case in point.

    I wanna talk about Lootboxes

The point were your argument falls apart is the old "the are locking away content". They are not, lootboxes and Orc stats are random. They are dice rolls, only loaded dice rolls. Yeah, from what I heard, the Orcs you might get from loot boxes are more powerful than the ones you get on the...

Why can't we like things without ruining it? Rick and Morty x McDonalds.

I think the "entitled" card is quite justified here. It is thrown around a lot, but don't be afraid to call a spade a spade.

Why can't we like things without ruining it? Rick and Morty x McDonalds.

You could have a point, but then I remember every MTV reality TV show and the Kardashians have several still running shows...
