    The Big Picture: Polarity Contest

I'm glad to see someone bring up the first Oscars, and split between "Outstanding" and "Unique and Artistic" awards. I see so few people mentioning this when discussing the proposed "Popular Film" award. And while I'd expect nothing less, I'm also glad that MovieBob doesn't use this as an...

Sad to hear that Williams' stint here is coming to an end.

Hulk Hogan Awarded $115 Million in Gawker Sex Tape Case

Glad I already found some good alternatives to io9.com when they began to lose talent last year.

New Star Trek Series Boldly Goes Into Production

Agreed, call me if they start working on Star Trek The Next Next Generation. I wouldn't care much about being part of the alternate universe if there was someone at the helm I trusted . . . but it's one of the guys who brought us two Trek movies I dislike.

Bungie Explains the Decision to Remove Dinklage from Destiny

It makes sense that someone who does a lot of voice acting will have a schedule that works better for voice acting. But the way they phrase it, it sounds like they're switching to Nolan North because he's not doing anything else. :)

The Most Interesting Magic The Gathering Cards Made By Artificial Intelligence

Stumbled upon this after reading up on @RoboRosewater, it's interesting to see some of the realistic or at least semi-realistic cards that can be generated, as well as the hilarious one.

    Dragon Magazine Reborn As Dragon+

I love Dragon, and while I'm a bit skeptical of this, I appreciate that it's being released for free so I can easily check it out.

Full Frontal Nerdity Comes to The Escapist

Very exciting! I love his comics, and I love his blog entries too. Here's hoping for a fruitful relationship :)

Escape to the Movies: Kingsman: The Secret Service - Can Lightning Strike Again?

Really disappointed by the news. I was away for a few days, and jumped on to see the episode of Big Picture I missed, and saw that all of his content has been removed from the lineup. I'll still stop by the Escapist for game related stuff, and the remaining LRR content, but this is a big blow. :(

    Feed Dump: The Rampage Episode

I don't think he can get paler, but he was certainly crazier.

Tekken 7 Director Reveals New Character, Clarifies "Lucky Chloe" Situation

Agreed, he looks pretty reasonable to me; I don't think a keffiyeh or an Arabian sword are at all stereotypical. Even if this wasn't a fighting game with nationalist fighers I'd say he looks fine. Granted, and portrayal that doesn't involve a hook nose, huge beard, or the...

Rumor: Sorry Folks, There Will be no DirectX 12 Support For Windows 7 - Update

I'm skeptical MS expects many people to drop Win7 because of a DX restriction, this clearly didn't happen when WinXP was locked out of DX10. The biggest effect of the the DX10 restriction was freezing minimum graphics at DX9c for so long. Whether it was intended or not, (foil hats are optional)...

When Jim Carrey Ruled the World

We've had Jerry Lewis and Jim Carrey, is there a new kid on the block for facial contortion comedy? Am I missing anyone? A lot of actors with strong theater and vaudeville backgrounds can certainly exaggerate, but it doesn't come close to what these two have managed.

Escape to the Movies: Interstellar - Doesn't Live Up To Its Own Name

It's difficult to do hard sci-fi without constantly throwing data at the reader/audience. If you can restrain yourself, you lose half of what makes hard sci-fi fun. This is one reason why I love Robert L. Forward's books so much, so much of the data and the detailed scientific explanation is...
