That all I heard about leading up to playing the game was branching paths, and my only option was the climb the tower and chuck the grenades I had when I saw an enemy (At least, that's how I remember the level going) for that first level. I was un-amused so I gave up. Thanks to the others guys...

I have played through mirror's edge something like 12 times... I don't even like that game :/ I have beaten Mass effect 2, 6 times for a total of 200 hours.
