Poll: How should combat be handled in Survival Horror Games

I was just about to type something stupid and incoherent, but then I saw this, and felt relieved. It doesn't really make sense to me to completely remove combat, because anyone can pull a trigger or wield a knife or at the very least throw stuff to slow the pursuer down. Player should be...

Escapist Expo: How To Review Games

Longer panels would indeed be very much appreciated. An hour isn't nearly enough time with these fine people. Very interesting stuff. 10/10, would listen again.

    Escapist Expo: My Favorite Game

While we're on the subject of Final Fantasy, what you said about FFX really made me smile. Old Games you remember playing but can't remember the name of.

Sounds very much like Ghosts'n Goblins. Not sure it was ever released on PS2 (or the like), though. Maybe as a part of a compilation, or something.

Jimquisition: Thank God For Me: The Jimquisition Story

Man, this is big! The significance of this documentary -- this could very well be the most significant thing man ever created. It will reshape the way we look at our everyday lives, how we think, how we feel, how we buy dildos. Truly revolutionary stuff. Thank god for -- you know the drill.

    Miracle of Sound: Calamity (Bastion)

I haven't played the game, but I really, really liked the song. One of your best, hands down.

    The Yume Nikki "Series"

I feel the same way you do; Yume Nikki and .flow have very little in terms of game play, yet I too find them utterly fascinating. The bizarre and often very minimalistic dream worlds, atmosphere you can get lost into, hidden events impossible to find without the wiki...all great stuff. Love it...

Rocky Rodent, maybe, for the SNES? Haven't played it myself, but that hairdo mechanic rings a bell.
