Divinity Original Sin: An Exercise in Burying Diamonds in Shit.

The combat was pretty decent, the storyline and dialogue was appalling. I wanted to get back into it with the Enhanced Edition but just couldn't. On the bright side Divinity: Original Sin 2 is being developed and has Chris Avellone on the writing team. With luck he can turn that ship...

Should I buy Dragon Age Inquisition? Honest Opinions.

Bioware writing has suffered immeasurably in the last while. I'm not sure what happened, maybe they've bought into their own hype and have become complacent but they have the wrong people writing now. They do good characters but miserable stories with bland, uninspired themes. DA:I is a by the...

Money for Mods: Valve Announces Paid Skyrim Mods

I see some the basic principles of what they want to do; to create additional incentives and draw out some really well crafted and wonderful mods. Unfortunately I don't see that really happening. What it has certainly done from the get-go is cost VALVe a whole lot of short term faith and, as...

Looking for PC RPGs with more talking and persuading than fighting.

Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura can be completed without killing anyone and it is a big RPG. Ultimately though you are really seeking a niche within a niche genre so your options are going to be limited.

The Alignment System and Dragon Age Origins.

Just in regards to Demented Sheep's assessments: Sten murdered a whole family in panic and will if given the chance kill your main character in Haven because he believes that the group is not going the way he wants it. So he's definitely evil. I would put him as lawful evil because given his...

    Improving Dragon Age: Inquisition?

I believe it's better on console but for PCs the controls are sloppy and combat is pretty awful. It doesn't quite know whether it is an action RPG or a tactical RPG and straddles the line between both. Dragon Age 2 is poorly regarded by many but its tactical pausing and gameplay are better than...

    Your Video Game Strike Team

Team Leader: Fem Shep (Mass Effect) Weapons Expert: Marine from Doom (Doom Series) Muscle: Kratos (God of War Series) Lone Wolf: Lara Croft (Tomb Raider) Stealth Expert: Batman (Arkhams etc.) Jack of All Trades: Gordon Freeman (Half Life) I think I'm pretty happy with that list. I could...

Dragon Age Inquisition - Your favourite party member

Cassandra and Blackwall make a nice pair, they undergo their own romance along the way which is very sweet. I found Sera to be utterly obnoxious, I don't understand her character one bit. My most enjoyable team was Dorian, Cassandra and Blackwall with myself as an archer.

    favorite type of melee weapon?

I'm not sure if it always my favourite but a good mace deserves a special mention. Yes a longsword can lop off a head but a mace will do the same - though the head won't be intact. A mace to the face will decapitate and leave just bits and pieces to find on the floor.

Elder Scrolls Online Removes Six-Month Subs, F2P Rumors Arise

What's interesting is that TOR is now making money hand over fist and has done for quite a while now. Their most recent major update (I'm hesitant to call it an expansion) might cause some grief to EA/Bioware.

Do women really get paid less than men do?

Your anecdotal observations appear to be correct, see above for the analysis (not performed by me, I must stress). The studies adjust for all the things people might complain about in this thread, such as unionisation, field of work, education, length in the workforce, etc. etc. In the end when...
