My freind got a virus, from amazon.

I'd also recommend Malwarebytes; it's worked well for me in the past. Avast is pretty solid, though- I'd imagine you could get by with just that alone. And I'm sorry for your friend's mishap.

Not sure where to put this, but here goes.

Mostly, I was just furious at the Escapist's mods for screwing up so badly. And thank you both!

BioWare Announces Post-Ending DLC for Mass Effect 3 [Updated!]

I'm really looking forward to this. I was very disappointed by ME3's ending, and I hope this new DLC sheds some light on what the epic conclusion was intended to be.

Not sure where to put this, but here goes.

Hi, everyone. Some of you may be wondering what the point of this thread is, and I'll tell you- my old username used to be The Oracle, and several months ago, I got rather pissy about the Escapist accidentally banning a variety of members that had done nothing wrong. I've had a long time to...

Civ Anonymous: Where You Go to Stop Taking Another Turn

I swear to God, when I read the thread title, I honestly thought this was about some unofficial 'Anonymous' Civ mod 4chan cooked up or something. No lie. I can personally attest to Civ's addictiveness, myself; I played Civilization Revolution on the 360 and it was very involving, although its...

New Pac-Man TV Series Could Tackle Racism

This is the most idiotic idea I've heard this month. How the hell is a Pac-Man TV series supposed to work? The game doesn't normally have a plot! There's nothing to elaborate on! It's like spinning a story out of Pong. This is going to fail.

Xbox 360's Death Rate is 54.2%

We *need* to make thread necromancy a punishable offense. This thread is one year old. I don't even know how it was found, and I'm not pointing fingers, but this can't keep happening.

Warhammer 40k MMO is a Go

I really like the sound of this- I certainly hope you can play as Eldar/Dark Eldar/Tau; those are my favorite races, hands-down. And I hope that this turns out well, as getting more people interested in Warhammer 40k can only be a good thing.

William Shatner Making Documentary About Himself

Really, Mr. Shatner? You already made a biography about yourself before and now you want to do it again? What happened to trying to make sure your past egotism doesn't get in the way? Bah, I'll probably see it anyway, but if it's just some creator-wank project like This Is It, then I think...

Edit- double post, glitch in the Matrix.

60% of Kids Have Had a Bad Online Experience

You'd think that just the word 'online' in the title would give it away, but, c'est la vie.

60% of Kids Have Had a Bad Online Experience

As someone who has been through that experience personally and has seen it happen to others, I can attest that this sort of thing is more common than you think.

E3 2010: MGS: Rising Introduces Brutal Watermelon Slicing

Jeez. Talk about Rescued From The Scrappy Heap. [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap] I've never been interested in Metal Gear before, mostly because due to the fact I own a 360 and not a PS3, but now that this new title's coming to the 360, I definitely will...

Take This Quiz to Find Out Your Chances of Survival

Hell, I thought I'd get better than a 55% Tourist. Fallout's one of my favorite games! And I prepare plans in the event of an apocalypse that could probably be considered overly paranoid! Ah well. I am an American, after all. :P

Dark Knight Director Doesn't Like 3D

@ Deofuta: Yeah, I think a few bits of code might be missing. But it's near the beginning of the summer, so everyone might be on a tight schedule. That said, I'm glad someone isn't regarding 3D as the next 'discovery of electricity.' I personally went to go see Avatar in 3D, and while it...
