The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Review

Dexter, I just want to say that I fully agree with you. Good posts, all that. Now I wanna replay Assassins of Kings and then maybe Baldur's Gate!

Harry Potter in 2 Parts? WB you BASTARDS!!!!

Agree with you 100%. As others have said, no matter how stupid the studio may have been with omitting detail in previous films, at least they're making an effort to keep things not too compressed in the final installment. Plus, it makes the studio extra money, hehe. Win-win I think.

BioShock, Fallout Designers Say Console Gamers "Lack Patience"

Hahaha, I agree with you. Always been of that conviction, and seeing the debates that arise around the approach differences between gamers (and people in general) further my belief that we're way too similar to each other to have these arguments (even though they're a lot of fun when the...

    Lest We Forget

A most excellent friend of mine made this for the occasion. I hope we never forget.

Things that annoy you for reasons you can't explain.

There's some sort of term for that... I wish I could remember what it is. But anyway, I absolutely hate Dr. Sweets (that psychologist guy) from Bones (and I'm not a fan of Bones, mind you. I think the only good character is Bones herself and the rest of the show is a giant contrived...

President Obama Awarded Nobel Peace Prize

Precisely what I was thinking. So yes, like many other posters here, I think what Obama has done so far has been to make lots of statements about many issues and he's been very diplomatic about all of it. I guess that would qualify for a Nobel Prize if done really really well...

    Stereotypes of The Escapist Forums

Oh, the rampant elitism has been mentioned. Mentioned, discussed, denied, confirmed, defenestrated, buried, liquefied, purified, and sautéed in a wine reduction. Of all the niggly things on these forums, elitism is the most constantly mentioned. But to all the people disapproving of...

    Favorite Old Show

My absolute favorite old show is... Well, I can't pick. My top ones are Get Smart, The Red Skelton Show, and The Dick Van Dyke Show. So silly and funny, all of them.

Get The Witcher soundtrack. Such beautiful music in that thing. Here's a mere sample:

    Canyon, Coffee, and Conversation

Yes, what did happen to the Iron Ninja? We must get him back on here so he can lighten the heart of this place through humor!

    Canyon, Coffee, and Conversation

You know what a typical Escapist does when faced with a perceived problem on the forums? Navel-gazing. We have a perceived problem on the forums, so let us all look at our belly-buttons and say how unique and special we all are. But that has nothing do to with my main points. You...

    British = English?

I know you know- I was just tastelessly poking fun. Well, part of me felt triumphant that a European had a momentary memory lapse, since so many of the Escapist's European populace loves to rub America's perceived lack of education in its face. But you weren't doing that, so I have no reason...

Poll: Do You Play a Instrument?

Yay, another cellist! I cello often, and I agree about it being so beautiful (I turned cello into a verb! Not sure if I'm allowed to do that or not...), also play the piano (just for fun). And I whistle. Ability level goes Cello > Whistling > Piano Now where is DarthZew... He plays...

    Student kills intruder with sword

Welcome to the Escapist. Those are good points you brought up there (although you forget about the whole adrenaline thing. Of course, it doesn't apply to the legal ramifications, but it's still there. No normal, panicked civilian would consider how much force to bring to a possible threat...

Star wars, Lord of the rings, what is next?

Here's why I don't think District 9 will be the 'next big thing': Its appeal is limited. Star Wars and Lord of the Rings were space opera and high fantasy, respectively. They both had the central theme of good versus evil in a different world. Anyone could relate to that. Old people...
